What perfect timing for an election reminder! As I was standing in line to vote in the Florida Primary this week, I was reminded of our awesome current Chapter opportunity!
As Americans, we’re reminded regularly that having a voice—and using it—is both a privilege and a responsibility. The same is true of the professional organizations we choose to be part of. Strong chapters don’t just happen. They are built by members who are willing to participate, step forward, encourage others to lead, and VOTE!
The Central Gulf Coast Chapter is now accepting nominations for the following leadership positions.
President
Secretary
Board Member
Do you know someone who would be a great leader for our Chapter? Maybe it’s a colleague whose ideas deserve a bigger platform. Maybe it’s someone who is always willing to lend a hand, share their knowledge, or help move our profession forward. Or maybe that person is YOU!
Leadership is an opportunity to serve your fellow members, help shape the direction of our Chapter, and make sure the organization continues to provide value to all of us. Cast Your First Vote: Nominate!
Nominations are open now and must be received by August 31. Please email Cindy Norton at cindynfl@yahoo.com with your nomination. Cindy will contact the nominee to discuss the position and confirm acceptance of the nomination. Once nominations are accepted, the official ballot will be prepared and emailed to all members.

September 7 — Ballots Emailed to Members
September 25 — Last Day to Vote
October Chapter Meeting — Election Results Announced
November – TBD — Board/Chair Workshop
January Chapter Meeting — New Board Installed
Your participation helps determine who will lead our Chapter, what direction we take, and how we continue serving our members and our profession.
