Did you know Chapter members can earn points towards scholarship for volunteering, attending chapter meetings, and hosting chapter meetings? Ask any of our board members how to get involved to start earning points.

CGCC Scholarship Program

Upon submission of a Chapter Funding Request Form, any dues paying member, in good standing will be eligible for scholarships for NIGP courses/seminars; and towards certification (CPPB and CPPO), recertification, state certifications and professional development.  Only one scholarship per member per year will be funded.  Preference may be given to Scholarship points for use to attend NIGP classes and webinars, NIGP National Forum, certification prep classes or NIGP Learning Certificate courses (Event) course work and training.  It is the goal of the Chapter to provide an educational benefit to the membership as a whole versus individual members. The amount of scholarship funding available will be determined by: (1) an annual 13 allotment of thirty percent (30%) of the remaining balance as of December 31st for the preceding year; and/or, (2) the goal of the fundraiser as presented by the Fundraising Committee and approved by the Board.  Once the annual scholarship funding allocation has been depleted or Chapter fund balances are below the annual required operating costs for the Chapter, scholarships will cease.  Special consideration on a case-by-case basis may warrant travel to other areas for procurement related functions. Functions may include classes, test, conferences, seminars, educational materials, tradeshows, etc. If special consideration requires funding for travel, it will be limited to lodging and/or transportation as needed and as determined to be reasonable. No money will be paid for meals. A Chapter Funding Request Form will be submitted to the Scholarship Chair for all special consideration requests. The Board of Directors will vote on all Chapter Funding Request Forms.

NIGP Scholarship Program

Every single day, with every effort we make at NIGP our focus is on our mission to develop, support, promote our members and the work that you do. The COVID-19 pandemic has shone a brighter light on that work, and how important it is for the smooth functioning of all the communities and entities you serve. Whether that’s a small township or a major metro area, a school system or a hospital network and the many other entities that provide all the vital services to keep us all healthy, safe and able to cope with the vast challenges we are facing.

Sourcewell has been a great partner and continuing supporter of NIGP’s mission and a champion of the work that we do on behalf of our members and the profession at large.

We are immensely grateful for their partnership which ensures our organization continues to provide the learning and development opportunities that enable our members to be more effective in the work that you do.
